Constructed through mobile scans and navigated via Blender, the 3D Digital work is part of a collective project in Nicosia that explores the dream incubation ritual from classical times. It aims to connect internal spaces and virtual environments, linked to imaginary dimensions, with real territories and bodies, providing spaces of psychic and somatic continuity and acceleration.
The work features scans of houses and ruins from Cyprus’s Buffer Zone that were abandoned in 1974. Combined with scans of performers such as Maria Tsitroudi and Maria Constanti, Greek or Egyptian sculptures from the Louvre, and a voice-over of texts by Paul Celan, the work reveals an interface between imaginal dimensions that aspires to integrate into reality. The video weaves together spaces from both parts of the island and various objects and artworks, creating a new ritual space and fostering a desire to reconfigure reality.
