The rise in public transport prices sparked an unprecedented revolt against neoliberal policies in Chile. After months of protests, Santiago was left with rubble, graffiti, and artistic interventions, reflecting the population’s deep discomfort with society’s structures. The residual materials destabilized the urban progress but offered a chance to reimagine public spaces. In this project, the artist reconstructs the protest’s epicenter through 3D scans, merging altered buildings and monuments into a new landscape. During the protests, Chilean women adopted hoods to symbolize their fight for equality. Collaborating with Chilean, Berlin-based women, and the LGBT+ community, we created hybrid characters wearing symbolic hoods to challenge binary identities.
