Semalu is a cinematic portrait of the abandoned children of Cheras, a new suburb in Kuala Lumpur. Between a noisy landscape of construction works, we see the youngest generation grow up. Here they have to discover themselves and look for spiritual meaning in life; a magical journey trough a monotone world.
