Two archivists are photographing objects, passing them from the right to the left of the screen, placing them into the void of the starlit, dust-gathering black back-drop. A conversation is happening, silent and mostly inaudible, and fragmented; the conversation is void of narrative and structure and begins to reflect the fragmented and obscured significance of the objects that are being archived. Ruination comes to the core of the film as the fragmentation of object, image and space obscures itself in an inaudible non-narrative. Is that what she meant when she said: Museums have been born so they can die?
