The idea of the work derives from aesthetics, originating from the Greek word aisthesis, which means cognition. It is a process by which the human mind gives meaning to, or takes away, the sensual perceptions that it receives. However, does cognition necessarily mean perceiving beauty in something, or does it mean perception? Should we realize that we were born with the raw ability to recognize, or is perception leading us to review our choices? And if counter-perception is the absence of perception, then what is perception? These are all questions raised by the work of art since we have to establish judgments and apply these concepts to determine our inner sense towards the environment.
