alt+shift, an audiovisual collective made up of Ali El-Shourbagy, Marwan Rizkallah, Omar Elkafrawy, Sarah Agban, and Sarah Sarofim, explores performance in spaces and the absurdity of the mundane.

Shifts 1 is made up of 3 short videos where everyday actions consisting of taking the metro, sitting by a desk, and reading a book are closely examined, mimicked, and performed. Resituated into different contexts, body movements and their rhythms are still recognizable and often alienating.
